Will national visas or temporary residence pirmits be issued to Ukrainian citizens, who have arrived in Lithuania without valid foreign passports?
To apply for a national visa or temporary residence permit, Ukrainian nationals must present a valid passport together with their application for a national visa or temporary residence permit. A national visa shall be issued or a temporary residence permit issued or renewed on presentation of a valid travel document (passport), the validity of which must exceed by 3 months the period for which the national visa is issued or the temporary residence permit is issued or renewed. If the validity of the passport presented by the foreigner does not exceed the period of validity of the national visa issued or the temporary residence permit issued or renewed, or exceeds it by less than 3 months, the national visa shall be issued or the temporary residence permit shall be issued or renewed for a period of 3 months shorter than the validity of the passport. If the foreigner presents a new valid passport, a temporary residence permit may be issued for the remaining period of validity of the temporary residence permit.
