Changes introduced in state fee rules applicable for citizens of Belarus
On 4 December, the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania has entered into force foreseeing the possibility to issue Lithuanian national visas free of charge to regime-persecuted Belarusians.
The exemption will apply to citizens of Belarus only in cases when the application for a national visa is confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania as being submitted due to special humanitarian reasons or meeting the objectives of development cooperation, foreign policy or national security.
Otherwise, citizens of Belarus applying for a national visa continue to be subject to a state fee of 60 euro (consular fee).
