Control of foreigner migration issues

The Migration Department analyses the changes in the migration flows, anticipates emerging problems in the management of migration processes, checks information on possible violations of the legal status of foreigners in the Republic of Lithuania, analyses the reasons for illegal migration and possible cases of abusing the procedures for the legal status of foreigners.

The Migration Department makes decisions regarding the deportation of the foreigners, whose stay in the Republic of Lithuania is illegal, to a foreign state or deportation of the Republic of Lithuania, also makes and manages the list of foreigners that are forbidden to come to the Republic of Lithuania.
