Information on the rights of the data subject when processing personal data for the purpose of granting the status of an e-resident
In order to examine your application for granting of the status of an electronic resident of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – the status of an e-resident), it is mandatory to collect your personal data, which is required in the application form, take a photo of you and take your fingerprints. This data will be processed for the purpose of granting the status of an e-resident.
According to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to access your personal data, including their copy, as well as to find out the data recipients to whom your data has been transferred. You also have the right that your personal data, which is inaccurate or incomplete be corrected or completed, that the processing of your personal data be restricted under certain conditions, and that your personal data processed unlawfully be erased.
You can submit an application to access, correct, restrict or delete your data to the Migration Department: upon arrival directly at the Migration Department – by presenting a valid identity document; by sending the application by mail – enclosing a copy of your identity document; by sending the application by e-mail – by signing the application with a qualified electronic signature.
You are also entitled to lodge at any time a complaint with the national data protection authority, if you consider that your data have been unlawfully processed.
