Civil Servant’s Certificate 2023

Since 2023 May 29 Identity Documents Personalisation Centre under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania has started issuing new Civil Servant’s Certificates.

Civil Servant’s Certificate is a document for identification and certifies that its holder is a civil servant. Certificate holder is able to sign e-documents with a secure e-signature, and allows public registers to identify its holder online.

SOFTWARE

To sign electronic documents using newly issued civil servant certificates, it is necessary from https://www.nsc.vrm.lt/ downloads.htm to download and install the MaskTech card software on the signer's computer.

Contactless electronic media
The unique number of the non-contact electronic medium shall be recorded on the non-contact electronic medium; other non-contact electronic storage memory is intended for use in access control and other control systems.

Contact electronic media
Certificate for civil servant electronic identification and qualified certificate for electronic signature are recorded in the contact electronic media.
